Granny’s Homemade Ice Cream is a painting from my recent show that had a theme of “Breaking Bread.”

Some of my fondest memories of breaking bread are from the family gatherings at my grandparents’ home when I was a child. My grandmother would make homemade ice cream in one of those hand crank ice cream makers. Her homemade ice cream and cherry pie were two of my favorites.
