Joy lies beneath is an 10 x 8 inch painting by Oklahoma artist, Betty Refour. Betty started drawing lines, circles, and squares on notebook paper with her sister Rose, when they were children. Rose has autism, and started drawing on Bettys homework. Betty decided to join her. Betty started painting years later as a form of therapy while recovering from a back injury. 

Under all of the mayhem there is joy. At least I hope so.
